Wow...where to start? I first want to say Thank you to all my loyal customers, friends and family for supporting me in this crazy adventure that I have taken on. I do miss it very much, but as you all know...life seems to throw lots of curve balls at you. You just never know what is around the next corner. The beginning of my year started out great until my Dad became ill with a brain infection. After weeks of hospital stays and 2 brain surgeries I am happy to report he is back on track and recovering well. All You Need is.....

Wine charms and a bottle of wine!! Hey everyone....I would like you to meet Heather of AllYouNeedDesigns I was offered a chance to review Heather's handmade wine charms and I must say that this was a fun filled review to do...Tee hee!!!

I made a baked Haddock dinner for my husband, and we locked ourselves out on the sun porch while our children ate pizza and watched a movie. The review went very well, so well in fact I ended up drinking the entire bottle of wine by myself since my husband doesn't drink. Oops...then I realized I forgot to take the pictures of the charms with my photo prop which happened to be the wine that I just finished. That's ok cause I sent my Husband out to get another bottle, and took the pictures. Tee Hee!! So back to the review. These charms are the cutest little things and they compliment the wineglasses so well. The colors are bright and some of them have cute little encouraging words engraved on them like....Love, Laugh and Live. The wineglass charms are made very well and are easy to put on and take off the wineglass stems.

I asked Heather to tell me a little bit about herself and her shop. This is what she said

"I've been married to my husband for 8 years, and we have 2 beautiful children - a 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter. I've always been a creative being - art was always my passion throughout school. But sometimes life doesn't go the way you plan, and my day job does not involve much art or creativity. In my spare time, I taught myself how to use Photo shop and that's when I started graphic designing. When I first started planning my Etsy shop, it was going to be strictly for graphic design products, like invitations and cards. But then I started playing with beads, and it turned into a passion for me. I began with beaded bookmarks and then it exploded from there into wine charms, key chains, jewelry...I love thinking up new ways to use beads! When I finally opened my shop in late June 2010, I decided to offer both in my shop - handmade items and graphic designs. The great thing is that I've had some success with both. It's nice for me to have a variety of creative outlets because it allows me to change things up and stay busy. If I'm going through a dry spell with jewelry design ideas, I can turn on the computer and play with graphic designs instead.

Helena Puck is the next shop feature

I would like you all to meet a very good friend of mine who I met on Etsy. Please meet Robin Hartman from "Helena Puck" I am so excited to be able to do this shop feature for Robin. She has a great little shop with so many items to choose from. I am the proud owner of many "Helena Puck" products.

Robin sent me a pair of really neat earrings for review. These things are sooo cool and will be a great choice for the Halloween season. I showed them to a few friends and they all want a pair of their own.

The earrings are made with black and orange Marbles....how cool is that and creative I must add! The marble used is a regular size glass marble. The glass marble has been secured in between two spiral silver wire spirals. I have been wearing these for the last few days and I love them. They are the perfect weight...not to heavy or light....they are just right. These are going to be part of my Halloween costume for sure!

The other really cool thing about Robin's shop is she sends all her Jewelry out in origami gift boxes, made from recycled greeting cards that she makes herself. Another A+ for you Robin!

Yes Please......

Happy Tuesday Morning to you all. I would like to start the day off with a product review and a great giveaway today. I was sent a lovely pair of earrings from Jennifer Broyl of "Yes, Please. Studio"

These great little earrings have got to be my new favorite addition to my jewelry collection. They are just the right size...not to big or small. I love the antique feel of these and they will match a number of outfits, making it easy for these to go from day to night. The earrings are made with Czech glass flowers in a peach/pink and white mixed color design. Hanging from the antique brass plated ovals is three flowers, and Jennifer also added in a antiqued little bow at the top of each earring. Very cute indeed!! I received a number of compliments on these earrings too!

I asked Jennifer to tell me a little bit about herself and her shop, and this is what she said... "I've enjoyed creating for as long as I can remember, and have tried many different crafts including sewing, ceramics, painting, interior design, and obviously, jewelry making! As I got older I spent less and less time crafting, until I started feeling like something was missing from my life, so realizing a needed a creative outlet I decided to open "yes, please. studio" in 2008. I never had any type of formal training, putting jewelry together just kind of came naturally to me. My goal with "yes, please. studio" is to create fashionable and affordable jewelry. I believe that if you make what you love then others will love it too."
Jennifer also told me that she will soon be expanding her shop to include home decor and Holiday items. Very excited to see what she comes up with.

Now a little about Jacqueline and her shop...

"I am excited to be selling my jewelry on Etsy. I live in New York, NY and work in my teeny tiny apartment on a folding tv table and sitting on my bed. I have jewelry materials all over my apartment, but have made everything ship shape by making my storage and projects part of my decor.  I work in sterling silver, gemstones, Czech glass, as well as copper and fabric. I also design home decor and whimsical, trendy pieces. All of my work is one-of-a-kind, but I do take commissions. 

My designs are based on my observations of the inter-relationships of materials and color. I have explored many different concepts over the years, from the ideas of impermanence and transience to the concept of the preciousness and sacredness of the everyday. Still, I want to create pieces that are accessible to a wide audience, and hope the forms and materials I use will appeal to people on many different levels. Treating each piece as an individual work of wearable art, I create timeless jewelry meant for day into evening wear.

I have had careers in production pottery, graphic design and industrial design with a sidetrack into computer programming early on. Ever since I can remember, art and craft in some shape or form has been my passion. Fabulous Fall finds under $10

I was able to squeeze in 1 last summer day with My youngest son and my Mother-In-law on Wednesday this week. We made a trip down to Hampton Beach and enjoyed a day on the beach building sandcastles and looking for shells.

As much as I hate to say goodbye to summer, I am excited for Fall. Fall is my favorite time of year. The sound of the leaves crunching under your feet and the beautiful colors on the trees is what makes me love the fall so much. I wanted to share with you some Fall Etsy finds that I came across this morning and the best part is they are all under $10.

Good bye Summer ...Hello Fall

Yes, it's true the kids are back at school and summer is coming to an end. I must say that I am sad to see it go. My family had one of our best summers yet, and we didn't even go on any vacations this year. My husband and I both put major projects on hold and we spent most of our free time with our 4 children just hanging out at the lake and enjoying life together as a family.

Now that 3 of my babies are in school full time, I am going to have much more time to blog and focus more on my shop. Some of my goals for the next few months are.. hosting at least 2 giveaways a week and I also am going to be offering product reviews with or without giveaways. I would like to be able to review at least 1 product a week. I have many new items that I will be working on in the next few months for my shop. I now am going to have some help from my dear mother who just retired. My mom worked for Annalee Dolls for 26 years and she taught me how to sew when I was little, so having her to help me is going to make a huge difference . She also is going to help me with my time management skills, which I so desperately need right now.

So, I will post more about the giveaways and product reviews later....time to go grocery shopping now. I also have to tell you about a fundraiser for a Cocker Spaniel rescue, and my wholesale line sheet I just created, my sale that's ending tomorrow, my group discount I am offering, the new place where I am consigning....see TIME MANAGEMENT!!! My new Etsy find

Hello and I hope everyone has had a good Febuary this year. It is almost time for March and that means that Easter will soon be here. I was on Etsy the other day looking for some basket stuffers for my kids and I came across a new shop called "Little Green Fern" I was so excited to see what Vickie had in her shop. OMG!! The cutest little felt bunnies I have ever seen and they are small enough to fit in the little plastic Easter eggs. Pictured below is a family set with a zippered carrot pouch.

Since my daughter is very much into the "Littlest Pet Shop" sets, I thought that these adorable little bunnies would be a nice change. Diaper Cake Time!!!!

Woo Hoo!!! I am so excited to hear a dear friend of mine has a daughter who will be having a baby this summer, and I will be making a diaper cake for her shower. We are just waiting to see if she can find out the sex of the baby in a few weeks. They couldn't tell from the first ultrasound, so we will keep our fingers crossed for the next one.

I am so happy to be able to create another diaper cake. I LOVE making these!! It is a nice change from my quilting and embroidery and I love to see what I can come up with.

Here is a picture of the last one I made for a friend who ordered one for a baby shower she was going to.

This next one is one that was a special order from someone in my town. I put a pair of puppy baby booties on the top.

I don't know about you guys, but I have had enough of this winter stuff and I am so ready for spring. I have been thinking of holding a giveaway on my blog for the last week and after much thought.....I would like to offer my Easter Play food set.

Now the kids can play Easter bunny year round with this cute pretend play food set. All this items are made from felt and stuffed with polyfil to make them nice and plush. You will get a large bunny, small bunny, carrot, 3 Easter eggs and 4 jelly beans.

Well, I must say it has been a very long time since my last post, and I know that it's way overdue. I have been so busy the last few months and I just didn't have any spare time to dedicate to my blog. Now that things have started to slow down a bit, I will begin making weekly post and holding giveaways from time to time. Promo Packs Are a Hit!!

Hello everyone! I finally have found some time to update my blog with the promo packs update. My 1st show was on July 11Th in Concord, NH at the Concord Arts Market. http://concordartsmarket.com

The show was real slow, but the promo packs were a huge hit with the crowds. I handed them out to everyone with kids and grand kids, because the packs had cards from Etsy shops who sell children's products. Everyone seemed to like them and I even had a few people take a couple packs to give to their friends.

Here are a few photos from my new booth this year. I still have a few things to change, but for the most part I was very happy with the way it came out. Certainly is a eye catcher with all the color going on..

I know it has been a long time since my last blog and I am so sorry I have been MIA for such a long time. My family has been going through some rough times in the last 2 months and things are just now starting to get back to normal. My husband had been laid off for the 3rd time this year and my Dear Nana passed away. Thankfully my Husband has found a new job and we are starting to get back on track.

Now I really have Spring fever!! I love butterflies and what better way to celebrate the upcoming Spring....This set of 2 butterfly puppets are a sure sign that Spring will soon be here!!

April showers bring May flowers....

OK, so I'm a bit early, but we are getting another 10 -12" of snow overnight and I am sooooo ready to see some May flowers!! I was going to wait and post these in April, but they are just to cute. Wouldn't they look great in a Easter basket?

These are made out of fleece and come in many colors. They are being sold as a set of 2 and the big flower measures 6" x 4" the little one is 3" x 2". The front of the flower is a applique embroidery design which I have stitched on my machine.

The Chicken or the Egg???? That is the million dollar question.

I thought I would give you all a break from the bunnies and present to you ...the Chicken and his egg. This is another softie set that is sure to make anyone smile.
I have made this set out of fleece, but I also can make them out of felt and cotton prints. The chicken is stuffed with a poly fiberfill and the face is stitched on my embroidery machine. Add one to your Easter basket for a special touch.

So, here it is..day #4 of my Easter and Spring feature, and this is the new item. Meet Mr. Bunny and his Carrot patch. My kids love this little bunny, and they are requesting it in all colors. I can make them in any color that you would like. These ones are made of fleece and the carrot is made of fleece too. The leafs are ribbon.

The carrot measures 8" x 4 1/2" and the bunny is 5 1/2" x 1 1/2". This little set would make a great gift for any child, and it also would make a nice addition to your Easter basket. This is my 3rd item of the week in my Easter & Spring feature. The key and bunny tag can be left outside for the Easter Bunny to deliver all of the goodies the next morning. You can make this a yearly tradition for the kids. Think of how much fun they will have knowing that the bunny will have no problems getting inside the house!!

The key is made of cotton prints and the bunny is made from felt. I have tied them together with a piece of ribbon. You can choose what colors you would like your bunny made in. Today is the second day of my Easter/Spring feature. I have all of these little guys hoping around my sewing room, and they are starting to take over!! Help!! They are very similar to my Bunny puppets only these ones are stuffed. Yes, Bunny softies for everyone!!

These softies would make a great addition to your Easter basket. The bigger ones are 6" x 4" and the little ones are only 3 1/2" x 2". You can have them made in any color you would like. The ones I have here are made of fleece, but I can make them in minky and chenille if you would like.

I am soooo ready for Spring, and I am done with Winter already!! Last night we had over 12 inches of new snow dumped on us in NH. ENOUGH Already!!! I can't take anymore of this white stuff!! Today's new item is the "Easter Bunny Crayon Roll" This would make the perfect basket stuffer for your little one. The rolls can be done in a number of different colors and prints. If you are looking for a fun and unique shop you need to visit Laurel's Zoo. She has some of the cutest puppets I have ever seen!!! I first came across Laurel's shop when I was looking for gifts for my children on Etsy. My youngest son loves puppets and he already has all of my sets, so I wanted to find him something that he didn't have. I ordered the "Little Kid Green Monster" and the "Little Kid Black Crow" and he Loves them. Actually all of the kids have a blast playing with them. All of Laurel's puppets are made from her own crochet patterns, and they are very high quality and will stand the test of time!!!

Hand puppets are not the only thing you will find in Laurel's shop...She also makes finger puppets and some of the cutest baby booties!!!

My Other Passion

OK I confess...I do have another hobby and it is creating Diaper Cakes. I just love making these and when I get a order I have a ball making them. I have sold 3 so far and have made a few as gifts for friends.

The one pictured at the top is my latest creation that my Sister-In-Law's company had ordered for a coworker who just had a baby girl. I had a blast making this and it is by far my favorite of all the cakes I have made.

The one to the left in blue is one of my first cakes I have made, and was the first one I sold. It was a 2 tier cake for a baby boy. Don't you just love the little ducky peeking out from the flowers!!!

The last photo is one that I made for a friend in October. I made this as a baby shower gift for her. I am happy to announce she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in December. Congrats Crystal!!!

OK, I am so excited about my Etsy shop and finally getting the courage to start my new blog that I thought why not celebrate by offering a giveaway from MY shop... Sound like fun!!

Hmmmm, which item will I choose as the prize? Let's see I have these cute little Penguin hand puppets that are child size , and will fit hands from ages 1 - 6 yrs old very well.

And then there is always the handy crayon purse for your little one. These come in extra handy when you have errands to run and appointments to meet. Just let your little one throw one over their shoulder and off you go. It is great entertainment for your child while you complete your never ending list of things to do. It also comes stocked with crayons and a pad of paper in the back pocket.

Oh and then I have these adorable little guys. These are also Child size hand puppets for hand sizes from ages 1 -6. You get to choose 2 from any of the ones
pictured. Lets see..there is a tiger, frog, duck and a pink poodle. They are all made from soft fleece and are so soft and fun. Any child would love to put on a puppet show with these fun little guys.

Hi there and please forgive me if I seem like I don't know what I am doing, because..well I don't!! I have been putting off starting a blog for sometime now , and I figured it was now or never...so here we go!!!

I have been so excited about my Etsy shop and how much it has grown in the last few months and I am looking forward to this new year . I have been doing mostly embroidery in my shop and this year I plan on adding some quilting into the mix, so keep your eyes out and watch for the updates.

Etsy has introduced me to many great and wonderful people. I have made some good friends and found lots of neat shops. It seems everyday I click on Etsy I find new and exciting shops to add to my favorite list. I am planning on contacting some of my favorites and posting them here on my blog so I can share them all with you.
